			VAINGLORIOUS (1999-2002)

Description Appropriately enough, this summary document describing most of the VAINGLORIOUS work became our final piece - I put it together in early 2002, a month or so later I decided it was time to end the VAINGLORIOUS project. We had put a lot "out there" in the SF art scene in terms of participatory projects.   About VAINGLORIOUS VAINGLORIOUS was a performance art project which had its heyday during the dotcom era in San Francisco. It was in existence from 1999-2002. We developed a participatory approach - a playful, farcical, humorous interaction with the audience. We showed at The Webbys, Oakland Museum of Art, Dadafest, Somarts, and multiple smaller venues. Our primary project was The Bureau of Systematic Extraction.
